I was one of the first patients in Halle and was treated by Dr. Wendrix for cataracts in both eyes. I am 76 years old and have undergone various medical treatments. Looking back, I can confidently say that Dr. Wendrix is by far the most competent and compassionate doctor who has ever treated me, both before, during, and after the procedure. I am very grateful for everything she has done for me.
Very disappointed with cataract surgery by Dr. Goethals. If you're unlucky, after months of struggling, you're referred to the University Hospital. And without a file, a year later I'm in the process of a vitrectomy and cataract surgery in both eyes. Cataract surgery is booming business! And if the first question is: Do you have hospitalization insurance, and if so, which one? That's a red flag.
About the NEW VISION eye clinic: a friendly welcome, reassurance, and very competent staff. I had surgery on both my eyes by Dr. M. Goethals, who was very friendly. Dr. Goethals is a very competent ophthalmologist. Therefore, five stars.
Unfortunately, I can't give zero stars. I received a very poor reception from Dr. Miranda Goethals, who has no sensitivity or humanity. She's annoyed to see patients and doesn't seem interested in reassuring them. This is a very regrettable attitude for a center recommended by the Halle hospital. Avoid at all costs!
I'm sorry to say I'm not entirely satisfied. Dr. Trigaux unfortunately performed an incorrect eye exam during my checkup a few months ago.
