⭐☆☆☆☆ Extremely Disappointed and Outraged by the Service at Medi-Market Apotheek Leuven (Bondgenotenlaan 88)!!!!!!! This is honestly the worst pharmacy experience I’ve ever had in Leuven. I paid for my medicine by bank card, but the cashier still rounded the price up — charging me more than the actual product price. When I asked for the receipt, she couldn’t properly explain why the amount didn’t match. Before coming to the store, I had already checked the price of the product on the official Medi-Market website. At first, I tried to think positively and assumed maybe the price had increased in-store. But when I finally got the receipt, it clearly showed the exact same price as online — meaning the extra amount I was charged had nothing to do with the product price. I caught this mark-up with my own eyes by the cashier!!! This is not a small mistake — this feels like dishonest and unethical behavior. How many other customers have been overcharged without realizing it? This kind of practice is absolutely unacceptable, especially from a pharmacy that people trust with their health. To make things worse, while I was there, I also witnessed an elderly man trying to return medicine (with his receipt!), and the same cashier rudely refused to help him. That’s just heartless and unprofessional. Medi-Market, you really need to investigate your staff and train them properly. I lost all my trust in this branch. If you value your customers, do something about this. To everyone reading this: PLEASE Double-check your receipts and prices before you pay at this store. I will never come back here again!!!!!!
This was my best pharmacy in Leuven until previous week. The new pharmacist (or his assistant) asked unnecessary questions about the origin and language of our prescription and then gave me contradictory information. First, he said the medicine was prescription-only, and then he said it was not. In the end, I bought the same medicine very easily at another pharmacy (without prescription). Overall, the experience was unprofessional and unhelpful.
Been there three times so far. Every single time they don't have it in stock. Although they offer to order it in but I can't come back or need it straight away so need to go find other pharmacies. They need to keep more stock!
This was my go-to pharmacy ever since it opened. However, there is a new pharmacist. He refuses to listen to the customer and repeats same thing over and over. I had to say "that's not even the question I'm asking". I told him that I will go to another pharmacy. I will not go there again.
As a foreigner, I feel warmly welcomed in this pharmacy, people are really kind here and the price is fair. Highly recommend!
