Highly professional, thorough, patient and kind. Explained everything clearly and provided suggestions on where to get over-the-counter medications that were easy and economical. Very accommodating and understanding regarding my not speaking Flemish (I am Canadian). Highly recommended and if I could give more stars, I would do so.
Terrible experience with this dermatologist. She doesn't care about her patients, she is only interested in quickly finishing the consultation and getting her money. If there were other dermatologists in the area, I'm pretty sure she wouldn't behave like she does. She is aware that patients have to wait 6 months for an appointment, so allows herself to be very arrogant and impersonal. Avoid at all costs.
No hesitation here: if I could give 6 stars, I would. Not only does Dr. Sofie truly care about her patients, she also excels with regards to knowledge of her domain. Definitely recommend!
I have had the chance in life to live in several different countries (Germany, Belgium, the UK, the US..) and resort to their healthcare experts, I have to admit that Dr De Hertog is the best and most professional dermatologist I have been to. She puts her heart into her job, she is well-read, knowleadgeable and cares about her patients. Although I speak Dutch, she always acommodated me and we had our consultations in English. I whole-heartedly recommend her to anyone who wants to have their skin issue solved. She has solved all of mine and of my kids and I will keep going to her for anythjng that might come up in the future. It saddens me to read some of the reviews on google, treating a doctor's practice like a restaurant. To those people I can only say, please have respect for the medical profession, a lot of studies and hard work go into it.
Arrogant and self-oriented person. No attention to the client/patient as only allocates 15 min per consultation (conveyor like business, more people - more money). Was not happy and made a remark when I was several minutes late for my first visit. So made a bad impression already since the first words. Then, that bad impression was confirmed again, when I came back to her after the applied treatment didn't work well. I had some remarks, to which she suggested to me to find another dermatologist! Very unprofessional, doesn't have good enough manners and an ability to communicate with people properly. I suggest to AVOID this person, if you can.
