Humiliating experience. This review concerns the emergency service. Never go to the emergency room at night. They let all patients in the emergency department wait for hours. I was first examined by a paramedic, then by a nurse, and after five hours, there was still no doctor in sight. It is important to note that there was not a single "red code" (critical case) at that time. All of us patients had to wait because there was not a single doctor in the hospital. After 5 hours of waiting, I decided to leave. Scandalous.

Not recommended. Confirmed the hospital days and final amount with staff many times. No one mentioned extra charges. But a few months later, I suddenly received 2 more bills — almost double the amount. Very unfair for visitors. Asked for the medical report, staff said they would send it, but never received. They ignore all questions about the bill but reply fast when it’s about payment.

After being hit by a car, I was taken to emergency and then had surgery, throughout the process I asked if it was going to be covered by my insurance and I was continually assured that it would be 100% covered. 2 months later, I receive 3 different invoices reaching a total of nearly 500 euros, no possibility of negotiating with them, and obviously as everything was said verbally, it meant nothing, all lies. If you don't like surprise bills, don't accept treatment here.

Clean and medically up to standard but could you possibly reconsider way-finding in the absurdly maze-like building?? How can you NOT get lost with seemingly random arrows and sign in a wild variety of forms and colors??? 😶‍🌫️ and that only to find a seat for repetitive, long waits?? Please get ORGANIZED already 😩

TLDR: I asked for a consultation in tramuatology with an orthopaedic surgeon and/or knee specialist, via “ORTHOPEDICS-TRAUMATOLOGY - CONSULTATION - BOTANIQUE”. what i got was a consultation with a dr assistant in training, Dr Goetz Pierre-Emman, i who discussed my case by phone with a colleague before i was given the consultation. oh, and there were three other patients and two nurses in the same room during the ”consultation” with ”the doctor” (assistant in training). Please make sure to confirm your consultations are guaranteed consultation and diagnosis with recommendations from experienced experts and not dr assistant in training, Dr Goetz Pierre-Emman. Elaboration: The consultation was off for a bad start as dr assistant in training, Dr Goetz Pierre-Emman, couldn’t establish any trust or confidence or a constructive Dr-patient relationship because there were five other people in the room with us and he had to consult with a colleague via phone, without me. Then I was given a contrasting assessment compared to previous assessments from more experienced and senior orthopaedic professionals. When dr assistant in training, Dr Goetz Pierre-Emman, couldn’t explain why his recommendation was different from the previous recommendations i got worried and anxious. for all i knew he could have made after work plans with his workplace bestie or his colleague crush because i was not involved in the phone call at all - no explanation what was discussed or argued or how the conclusions were made based on what diagnosis. I got a very short explanation why he thought the previous recommendation was a bad idea but nothing i hadn’t already been informed about from other orthopaedic seniors. i got virtually no explanation why they had a different recommendation and no information about how the alternative treatment and recovery would look like . Further, while i was worried and anxious by the lack of trust and confidence in dr assistant in training, Dr Goetz Pierre-Emman, i tried to explain my perspective based on the previous diagnoses and recommendations. dr assistant in training, Dr Goetz Pierre-Emman, interrupted me four times and i admit i made the mistake of asking if i could be allowed to finish my sentence, (i understand this is a rude question a Dr does not want to hear from his patients) after i was allowed to finish explaining my perspective and thoughts i was rather shocked by his response that if i didn’t agree with his assessment i was free to seek treatment in sweden or germany. this was not said with a sincere and professional Dr concern for his patient, but rather nonchalantly and arrogantly. the consultation was a confirmed catastrophe at this point, i was shocked that a medical professional cannot listen to their patient and then tell them to seek health care somewhere else. i think the burden of responsibility of maintaining a constructive communication and establishing of trust lies more with the Dr in charge rather than on the patient. Before dr assistant in training, Dr Goetz Pierre-Emman, left me on the bed, he didn’t tell me if it was OK to walk on my foot or not, or if i should continue with thrombosis profylaxis, but the nurses were very kind to inform me on his behalf.
