Dr Schokaert is Fantastich !!
Dr. Schokaert is a fantastic doctor, also paying close attention to menopause, chronic pain that worsens with menstruation, infections, and hormones. He has extensive experience and uses a comprehensive approach. Highly recommended!
Gynecologist Dr. Schokaert is one of the best in her field. My first child was born with her. Since then, I've moved, so I had to choose a different gynecologist, but I look back fondly on the care she provided us during the pregnancy and delivery of our first daughter.
Unfortunately, I didn't have a pleasant experience with Dr. Leyder. During a checkup, she diagnosed tumors (not cancer) and gave me more labels than explanations. A hysterectomy was suggested, but because I had difficulty with the proposed procedure, I sought another opinion. There are other, less invasive solutions, but unfortunately, they weren't discussed during the consultation. Afterward, I wondered if a hysterectomy had become the norm for her. Why even more opinions? I thought maybe a second opinion would be easier for me to accept, and I even saw a doctor who agreed with the second doctor: no indication for a hysterectomy. The way a diagnosis is communicated to patients can make a huge difference, and better communication is recommended. Simply being friendly as a doctor isn't enough for me as a patient.
